After a frenzied holiday season many of our partners are taking this time to give back on service trips. The SVOne handheld autorefractor lightens to load of vision care providers around the world by easing transport and streamlining the vision screening process.
We would like to highlight some of the remarkable work of these providers:
Dr. Barry Snyder used the SVOne in Cambodia at the start of January while volunteering with Project Angkor’s ophthalmology group. The team “dedicates itself to the preservation of vision and prevention of blindness [by providing] eye exams, prescription glasses, and performing cataract surgeries to improve patients’ vision.”
Dr. Liz Waller trained vision clinic staff on the SVOne at Bless Back Worldwide’s January trip to Haiti. The team is providing medical, dental, kids’ lessons and vision projects in Ti Paradis, Haiti.
Steven Lewis and a team from Hilldale joined the the Nazareth Trust to provided free eye tests in a hospital and local orphanage in Nazareth Village.
